Mutual aid groups strive to create solidarity among community members by supporting each other’s needs. Our work centers around the Gowanus, Brooklyn neighborhood, and expands into nearby Park Slope and South Slope.
Cash Assistance
Gowanus Mutual Aid, like many mutual aid groups in New York City, does not currently have capacity to implement a cash assistance program, but we are in discussions to see if one could be created. We will update on our Open Collective page if and when we do have something. We continue to work with community members to contribute to resources that will benefit as many people as possible.
